What makes a good pizza? Is it the type of cheese they use? Or is it whether the establishment uses a sweet or tangy sauce? Maybe it's the dough they use to make the pizza. Using the right ingredients makes all the difference in world when it comes to the quality of the pizza. My favorite local pizza place resides in New Jersey on Rt 70 in Cherry Hill, The Famous King of Pizza. This pizza gem has been serving pizza in the local area for over 40 years and offers many other delectable foods besides pizza. I would recommend if you were to try it that you go with slices over a pie. The slices have already been cooked so when they pop it in the oven it gets a little extra crispy. Writing this is actually making my mouth water.
Pizza is my favorite food and would eat it almost everyday if I could. This blog is my way of cataloging and critiquing the numerous pizza establishments with in the local Philadelphia area.

What does go into a good pizza? I agree that the ingredients are the most important aspects of a good pizza. All the good pizza out there comes with preference. Some people prefer different crusts, sauces, cheeses and toppings. Lets also keep in mind that different parts of the country are known for their different styles of pizza. I can say that I have had some really good pizza from different area but do not think that I can pinpoint a favorite, especially since I do not really have too many "favorites" of anything. I can say, however, that I prefer a pizzeria style pizza from a ma and pa establishment over a pizza from a chain operation such as Dominoes and Pizza Hut. I currently frequent Mystic Pizza of Montgomeryville, PA as my pizza place of choice. All this pizza talk has just developed a craving for a good slice of pizza.
